In December 2019, there was an incident where a man was found dead due to unknown reasons. It was suspected that the death was caused by a new virus because the man who died did experience virus-like symptoms before his death. It was reported that he developed symptoms such as fever, cough and also shortness of breath prior to his death. After some investigations, it was later found out that the virus that caused the disease was indeed a new type of virus, later known by the name Covid-19. Since the first infection, this virus has run amok and caused further destruction in this whole world. A lot of people got infected by this virus and many of them died from it. To make matters worse, they did not even get a chance to find doctor prior to their death. Such is the potency of this virus. Those who got vaccinated will have a decreased chance of getting infected. This is because the vaccine provided will help to increase our immunity towards Covid-19 virus. Not just that, this will also increase the likelihood of forming a herd immunity, an immunity that can be provided by a community if the majority of the people take the vaccines. However, not long after the introduction of the vaccine, our world had been shocked by the discovery of a new Corona variant virus. This type of virus arises from Covid-19 virus that had managed to survive and undergo mutation, forming a more dangerous and potent virus when compared to its predecessor. Besides that, the new Corona variant also was reported to carry symptoms that are stronger than the original Covid-19 virus, thus making it deadlier. This is the reason why so many people are afraid of this new variant. Furthermore, it is also reported that it can easily travel to anywhere in this world and has a high rate of infectivity. Hence, it is always natural for us to fear its threat.

         This condition is actually predicted since the early Covid-19 day. The formation of virus variants is a natural progression. However, the experts did not expect that Covid-19 virus would be able to mutate in such a short amount of time. This is why they are able to mutate and form new Covid-19 variants in multiple countries such as the United Kingdom, United States of America, Brazil, India and so on in just a couple of months. Besides, a new variant known as Omicron also had run amok since the new year and had caused mayhem worldwide. This shows that we need to take this situation very seriously. For now, we do not need to panic because the experts will always develop vaccines that can also help to fight against Covid-19 virus and its variants.
